Our Mission & Vision

Mission: Energe Foundation empowers underserved and low-income youth and adults through education, workforce and career development, digital literacy, economic mobility, and community support—connecting people to employment, continuing education, credentials, and resources that promote long-term self-sufficiency.

Vision: To build stronger communities by expanding access to education, skills, quality employment, credentials, economic opportunity, and supportive resources that help individuals and families achieve lasting stability and self-sufficiency.

Where We Are Today

Energe Foundation is a newly established nonprofit organization. We are in the early, launch stage of our work: building our first program — the Energe Foundation Job Readiness Program — assembling our board and volunteer network, and preparing to welcome our first training class of participants. Job readiness and workforce development remain our founding priority as we grow toward the broader mission above.

We are building deliberately, with a focus on real, measurable skills rather than promises we cannot yet back up. As our first classes complete the program, we will share what we learn — honestly, and without overstating results.

Why This Work Matters

Too many capable youth and adults in our community face real barriers to employment and economic mobility: gaps in digital literacy, limited access to structured job-readiness training, few low-cost pathways to continuing education and credentials, and few practical supports that help people pursue and maintain economic stability. Energe Foundation exists to close those gaps — starting in Richland County and the greater Columbia, South Carolina area, with room to grow as our programs prove themselves.

Our Values

Dignity — every participant is treated as capable and worthy of investment.
Honesty — we describe our stage and our results accurately, not aspirationally.
Practicality — our training targets real, usable workplace skills.
Community — lasting change happens with neighbors, employers, and volunteers working together.
