PROGRAMS
Energe Foundation Job Readiness Program
Our primary launch program — a practical, class-based program combining job readiness training with digital literacy, and the first step in a broader workforce, education and economic mobility framework.
How the Program Works
Our initial program model runs five weeks, with three instructional evenings per week. Classes are kept small so instructors can work closely with each participant. The program is open to ages 16 and up, and digital literacy is woven throughout rather than taught as a separate track.
Completion certificates are tied to meeting established completion standards for the class — not simply attending sessions.
What the Curriculum Covers
- Professional appearance and workplace communication
- Punctuality and workplace expectations
- Email etiquette and professional correspondence
- Completing job applications
- Understanding W-4 / W-9 forms
- Paychecks and basic tax concepts
- Benefits literacy and 401(k) concepts
- Giving and receiving feedback; performance reviews and PIPs
- Common workplace productivity tools
- Resume writing and interview preparation
- Final readiness panels with community volunteers
Digital Literacy, Built In
Rather than a separate class, digital literacy is integrated throughout the five weeks — from using productivity software to navigating online job applications and workplace communication tools participants will actually use on the job.
Energe Foundation is a new organization. We do not yet have completed classes, so we are not publishing participant outcomes, placement rates, or testimonials — we will share real results honestly as classes complete the program.
Our Program Areas
The Job Readiness Program is where we’re starting. It sits inside a broader, long-term framework of five program areas that Energe Foundation is building toward as our organization and funding grow. Each area below is labeled by its current status — nothing here is offered, guaranteed, or formally partnered unless clearly stated.
1. Workforce & Career Pathways
Currently Operating — Job Readiness Program
Job readiness, professional skills, career exploration, job-search preparation, and interview readiness. Employer engagement, advancement opportunities, apprenticeships, and higher-paying career-track connections are part of our longer-term plans as employer relationships are formally established.
2. Education & Credentials
Planned / Future Phase
Continuing education, technical and vocational training pathways, and postsecondary education connections we intend to build over time. Energe Foundation does not currently award degrees, issue third-party professional certifications, or pay tuition; any such pathway will be added only once genuinely established through a formal partnership.
3. Digital Literacy & Access
Currently Integrated
Workplace technology, digital productivity, online applications, and practical digital skills are already woven into the Job Readiness Program curriculum. A standalone digital-access track is a future-phase goal as funding allows.
4. Economic Mobility & Participant Support
Developing — When Funded & Eligible
Financial capability education and barrier-reduction supports, such as transportation or interview-readiness assistance, offered only when funded and to eligible participants under written program rules. Energe Foundation does not guarantee financial support, wage increases, or credential attainment.
5. Community Partnerships & Outreach
Developing
Community education, volunteer engagement, and resource navigation are underway today. Formal partnerships with employers, schools, technical colleges, workforce systems, and other organizations are being pursued but are not yet established unless named elsewhere on this site.
